About GTNF

“We can allow disruption to happen to us, or we can do it ourselves.”
David O’Reilly, group scientific and R&D director, British American Tobacco, and chairman emeritus, GTNF advisory board.

Change was already gathering pace in 2008, when the GTNF (then the Global Tobacco Networking Forum) was launched. Since then, we have kept pace with a rapidly transforming tobacco and nicotine landscape. Each year, we offer more participation, more networking opportunities, more key speakers from a wider range of stakeholder groups and greater transparency.

As a result, the Global Tobacco & Nicotine Forum (GTNF) has become the world’s foremost ideas and information exchange for the tobacco and nicotine industries and related stakeholders.

The forum is not just a meeting point for tobacco and nicotine executives. Each year, the GTNF attracts a wider range of influential voices from important stakeholders in areas such as public health, policymaking and international relations. In an industry undergoing historic change, we provide a unique space for delegates to hear and understand what these important voices have to say.

As a result, the GTNF is increasingly viewed as an ideal venue for debating the issues and seeking common ground in formal and informal encounters. Behind the success of the GTNF is a strong belief that deepening the conversation about tobacco, nicotine and public health can lead to more balanced and informed perceptions and decisions by all stakeholders.

Diverse locations. Diverse points of view.

The GTNF was launched in Rio de Janeiro in 2008. The event has since been held in Bangalore, India (2010); Antwerp, Belgium (2012); Cape Town, South Africa (2013); West Virginia, USA (2014); Bologna, Italy (2015); and Brussels, Belgium (2016).

Our host city for 2017 is New York City, USA. One of the world’s leading financial, diplomatic and cultural capitals, New York is famous for its 24/7 energy and entrepreneurial spirit, a perfect backdrop for a dynamic event.

Whatever the location, the GTNF event has sold out every year since 2012, so we invite you to secure your place for GTNF 2017 as soon as possible.
